Strawberry Treat

Strawberries dried in the oven. Tastes like candy but are healthy & natural. 3 hrs at 210 degrees. Might be better than Twizzlers.

Happy Easter Everyone!

I'm so jealous this morning of all those kids out there with their chocolate bunnys and cream eggs, lol.  Chocolate is my absolute biggest enemy.  If its in the house... I'm going to eat it.. until its all gone.  Which is why I try not to keep it in the house.  Way too big of a temptation.   Whats your guilty comfort food?

Today

Step Forward: The scales are starting to move!
Step Back: Its Easter.. so... a big dinner & chocolate will probably be had!

You say that you're leavin', Well that comes as no surprise...

Have you ever blamed an unsuccessful relationship on your weight? I know that sounds just a little bit superficial; But as a woman, I know its a question I ask myself pretty much every time a romance doesn't evolve. I wonder if I were thinner, if I were more toned would it have made a difference?

It's kind of a double edged sword if you think about it. On one hand, if guys do think that way... they're dicks.   On the other hand, if all these guys aren't superficial assholes, then I can't help but wonder -is the problem me?

It's a little bittersweet to wonder if I do lose the weight, would the same guys then be interested? Because if that's all it was about, then I'd be the one not wanting them.

Don't get me wrong, plenty of guys are interested now.. but as a bigger girl.. I feel like I have to settle for guys who just aren't that great.  I feel that while being overweight, I couldn't land the kind of guy I really want. Maybe it's all in my mind, but I'm just putting the question out there for other bigger girls in the dating world.  Do you think you think you'd attract a different type of man if you were thinner? Have you ever felt like you had zero chance with someone because of your weight? I'd be interested to hear some other peoples opinions on the subject!

You'll Say We've Got Nothing In Common; No Common Ground To Start From...

Well, I can assure you, you're probably wrong.  We're probably a lot alike, whether or not you're on your own weight-loss journey. I'm a twenty-something, single, small town girl who just moved to a big city to find the perfect job, the perfect life and hopefully the perfect man.

Thankfully my other goal, is a little more realistic. 50 pounds in 365 days. Thats under 4.17 pounds a month. Which... seems a hell of a lot more attainable than a good man. ;)

So, for the next year, I plan on recording everything right here. Dating. Food. Recipes. Workouts. The good days and the bad. So, for those of you who have already succeeded on this journey, I'd love to hear your tips and suggestions.  And for any of you who are on the same page as I am right now, I'd love for you to join me.
